At a meeting this morning, the Indiana County Commissioners heard from several members of the public speaking out against possible A.I. data centers from Amazon Web Services (AWS)
The issues raised included transparency and the environment.
The Indiana County Planning Commission will be taking up the potential data center sites at a meeting at 5:00 this afternoon.
In other business, the County Commissioners approved a contract to demolish the Carriage House and office building on Oakland Avenue. The $342,000 contract will go to Ritenour and Sons construction company out of Connellsville. The expected completion date is December of this year.
