Friday turned into a busy day for Indiana County first responders. Along with the fire in a trash can at Kennedy-King Park, there were four vehicle accidents.
The first was reported at 10:09 AM on North 6th Street in Indiana Borough, with Indiana Fire Association, Citizens’ Ambulance and Indiana Borough Police dispatched at the time.
The second crash was at 4:51 PM on Oakland Avenue in White Township. Indiana Firefighters and Citizens’ were joined by state police on that call.
Elderton firefighters were sent out for the third crash call at 5:47 PM on Route 422 in Shelocta Borough along with Citizens’ and state troopers. The final collision was reported on South Walnut Street in Blairsville Borough at 9:30 PM. Blairsville and Black Lick fire departments were sent out at the time.
