State police are investigating a fire that was set at a White Township park.
Indiana, Creekside, Homer City and Marion Center fire departments along with Citizens’ Ambulance were sent to Kennedy-King park on Clinton Avenue in the Chevy Chase area of White Township at 7:03 PM for what was initially termed as a fire in an outbuilding. Indiana Fire Association officials say that someone set a garbage can on fire at the park’s restroom. Little damage was reported, mainly a melted garbage can and a small amount of smoke was reported.
