Wednesday afternoon, the White Township Supervisors approved sending a draft ordinance to Indiana County for review.
Supervisors agreed to send current draft of the proposed Recreation Vehicle Camp Ground Ordinance, which would set rules in place for rv-park style communities. This is in response to the recent increase in mobile home developments in the township due to the project at the Homer City Energy Campus.
The township planning commission approved the draft at their October 13th meeting. Township Manager Chris Anderson talks about the next steps for the ordinance.
Supervisors also approved sending their official Township Map Update to the county for review. The map ties in with the township’s comprehensive plan, and includes a “wishlist” of projects that township residents would like to see done.
Anderson says that the map will help them secure grant funding for said projects.
The map will go through the same 45 day review process as the proposed ordinance, as well as advertisement and a public hearing.
