Another superload is heading towards the Homer City Energy Campus today, and traffic changes can be expected.
Starting at 9:00 AM, another oversized and overweight piece of equipment will head out from the Schenley Docks and take Route 66 through Leechburg and Apollo to Delmont then to Route 22. It will pull off near the Westmoreland/Indiana County Line near Blairsville at 5:00 PM to install additional equipment as needed to continue to transport into Indiana County. Route 22 East from three miles west of Blairsville to US 119, will be closed from 7:00 p.m. until midnight tonight. The run is expected to resume tomorrow morning as it makes its way to the energy campus.
People are advised to exercise caution, allow additional travel time and expect delays along the route.
