Bethany A. (Shields) Phillips, 75 of Clymer, PA, passed away peacefully into Heaven on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana.
She was the daughter of Everett and Gertrude (Miller) Shields, born May 14, 1951, in McKeesport, PA.
Beth had a passion for cooking, particularly preparing large, welcoming holiday meals and decorating for all of the holidays. Her joy in life extended to playing bingo and socializing at her family’s summer camp. Beth had a warm heart; she had a special way of bringing humor and joy into the lives of those she met. Her smile and charm had the power to uplift anyone’s spirit. She attended McKeesport High School and was a past member of the Clymer Volunteer Fireman’s Ladies auxiliary. Beth’s greatest love was her daughter Cindy.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Dennis C. Phillips, two daughters, Terri Remaley and husband Brad Sr., Cindy Phillips, one sister, Mary Pfeifer, and brother, Tim Gamboa and husband Chris, two grandchildren, Solomon and Jadon Carlson and two great-grandchildren, Sydney and Rowan Carlson, one brother-in-law, Lee Phillips, also numerous nieces and nephews.
Beth was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Kimberly Marr, three brothers, Bill, Clint, and Luke Shields, one sister, Karen Knight.
Friends will be received on Monday, October 26, 2026, from 4 pm to 7 pm at the McCabe~Roof Funeral Home, 565 Franklin St., Clymer. Beth’s funeral service will follow at 7 pm at the funeral Home with Pastor Robert White, officiating. Interment will be made in the Sample Run Cemetery, Clymer.
