A Greensburg man was sentenced to probation for a stabbing in Blairsville earlier this year.
Court documents show 27-year-old Blaze Mendicino had pleaded guilty to charges of simple assault and harassment in connection with the incident in the 200 block of Morewood Avenue on May 18th. Blairsville police said he stabbed a man in his left arm. The altercation also left a cut on the victim’s hand. Mendicino was ordered to serve two years of probation for each count, and Judge Gina Force ordered those sentences to run consecutively.
A sentencing hearing was also held yesterday for Joshua James Stumpf of Indiana. The 41-year-old man pleaded guilty to possession with intent to deliver for an incident on May 24th of 2022. The Indiana County Drug Task Force conducted a raid on his home and found 22 bricks of suspected fentanyl/heroin along with cash, cell phones and items used to package and sell the drugs. Stumpf was ordered to serve four years of probation by Judge Michael Clark. A co-conspirator, Charles Wilcox of Northern Cambria, was ordered to serve two to five years in state prison for his guilty plea to the same crime.
