David C. Birch, 78 of Brush Valley, PA, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2026 at Communities at Indian Haven, Indiana, PA. He was born July 5, 1948 in Indiana, PA, the son of the late Charles Birch and Thelma (Rupert) Birch. David was a 1965 graduate of Laura Lamar High School. He enjoyed fishing with his family, listening to music, especially Pink Floyd and was extremely fond of his “Bad Cat.” David also loved tinkering and fixing anything he could get his hands on and he enjoyed his cars.
He is survived by his daughter, Tina Wissinger, Homer City, PA; granddaughter, Alyssa Potts, Greensburg, PA; sister, Debbie Butchkoski & husband, Mike; sister, Lynn Vreslovic & husband, Jim and also several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Jamie Wissinger and siblings: Jim, Brad, Char & Bev.
In keeping with David’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to Ferguson Funeral Home, 25 W. Market St., Blairsville, PA 15717 to help with funeral expenses.
