At a meeting Tuesday night, the White Township Planning Commission approved the final site plan for the Pathways Homeless Shelter.
The shelter, operated by ICCAP, will be located behind the Big Lots in the Indiana West Shopping Center. Luann Zak with the Indiana County Office of Planning and Development said it was one of the final steps in the process before starting construction.
In other business, the board approved moving forward with a proposed amendment to the Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance concerning RV parks. Township manager Chris Anderson said that it will put a definition on the temporary housing that is being seen recently. The commission is recommending the board of supervisors continue to review and work towards adoption.
