After a quiet Tuesday, first responders were sent out for two calls on Wednesday.
One was for a three-vehicle accident in the 600 block of Philadelphia Street in Indiana Borough. Indiana Borough police and firefighters were sent out at the time. Details on the incident have not been released. The crash was reported by police around 3:00 PM.
The second incident was a brush fire at 1:21 PM along Spence Road in Washington Township. Creekside and Plumville fire departments were sent out. Creekside fire officials said on the department’s Facebook page that the fire was started by a downed power line. Both departments were able to make quick work of the fire. They advise that with the dry weather this week, small fires could get out of control quickly, so they ask residents to be careful when burning.
