Indiana Borough has begun a new “service line protection program” for homeowners who wish to purchase coverage for water and sewer line maintenance and repair on their property.
The new program is a partnership between the borough and Service Line Warranties of America. It’s optional for borough residents. It does not cost the borough anything, nor are public funds used for administration of the program.
As with most municipalities, homeowners in Indiana Borough are responsible for the cost of work required on their side of the lines providing water and sewer service, and most homeowner insurance policies do not cover it. The borough has published an informative FAQ listing to help you determine if the program would work for you.
