At the District 6 Boys Golf Championships yesterday at Sinking Valley Country Club in Altoona, Bishop Guilfoyle won the Double-A team title, topping Richland by four strokes, Westmont Hilltop by eighteen, and West Shamokin by twenty-four.
Colton Karlheim of Penn Cambria shot even par 72 to win the AA title by one stroke over Cody Clapper of Central Martinsburg.
None of the Heritage Conference golfers advanced to next week’s state tournament. With a cut line of 75, Homer-Center’s Reece Coy was the top Heritage Conference performer, with a 79. West Shamokin’s Carson Carnahan shot 80 and his teammate Tanner Cook 81, with River Valley’s Brady Doak shooting 82. West Shamokin’s Carter Myers completed the Heritage Conference scorecard with an 89.
State College won the Triple-A team title, with the Little Lions’ Charlie Ladrido and Luke McGraw finishing in a tie for the individual title at three under 69, and McGraw winning the title in a one-hole playoff.
