The Blairsville Starbucks location is closing today as part of the shutdown of 250 stores across the nation.
Starbucks COO Mike Grams announced the closures yesterday, but the company did not provide a list of specific locations. He said while the majority of the chain’s 18,000 locations were doing well, there were a few that were struggling, saying they believe the places being closed cannot “consistently deliver the experience we want for customers and partners” or are not up to an acceptable financial performance. The closures represent 1% of the company’s footprint in the United States.
The shop in Blairsville is closing less than a year after it officially opened. The location at Resort Plaza opened on November 14th of 2025. The closure will not affect the store on Oakland Avenue in Indiana.
