A preliminary hearing is scheduled for a man charged in June in connection with a domestic dispute.
Indiana Borough Police were called out June 8th to a home in the 1200 block of Philadelphia Street for a report of domestic violence against a woman. The victim said that she had fled the scene after getting into an argument with her boyfriend that turned physical when he allegedly choked her and threatened to kill her. He also reportedly cut her leg with a knife. When police returned, they found and arrested 33-year-old Timothy Earl Austin and charged him with two counts of aggravated assault and a single count of possession of an instrument of a crime.
He has been in Indiana County Jail since his arrest as he was unable to post $200,000 bail.
