With only four preseason games and the regular season starting in ten days, the Penguins’ lineup tonight for the opening preseason game has plenty of big names in it, including Kris Letang, Bryan Rust, Connor Dewar, and Ben Kindel. Big-name prospects Harrison Brunicke, Tristan Broz, and goaltender Sergei Murashov will also dress for the game against the Buffalo Sabres.
Sidney Crosby says the short camp has been intense so far.
Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, and Kris Letang are beginning their 21st season together. That’s more than any other trio of players in team sports history. Crosby says the three of them appreciate each other.
It’s a busy week for the Penguins, who host the Red Wings tomorrow night, then visit Columbus on Thursday and Buffalo on Saturday. The season opens next Wednesday at Philadelphia.
