INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE INVESTIGATING SUSPICIOUS MAN AT INDIANA HIGH SCHOOL

Indiana Borough Police are investigating a suspicious person that was seen Wednesday morning at Indiana Senior High School.

According to a joint statement from police and the Indiana School District, a middle-aged man was seen in the rear parking lot around 6:30 AM by high school staff. As staff arrived, the man left, but it prompted a report to the building administration, Bramlett Security and local authorities. Security footage showed the man tried to open several doors at the school at 2:30 AM. After failing to enter the building, the man entered an empty box truck in the rear lot and it’s believed the man fell asleep in the truck. He left around 6:30.

No damage was reported to the school or truck and the school was fully secured. While the actions were inappropriate and suspicious, they were not overly threatening and did not disrupt student activities, but borough police increased their presence at the school and have increased 24/7 patrols of the property. There have been no other sightings since then.
