The Penguins have invited 69 players to training camp in Cranberry, and all but three of them will be lacing on the skates today when camp opens at 8:45 AM. Depth goaltender Gabriel D’Aigle and forwards Melvin Fernstrom and Rafael Harvey-Pinard are injured.
Among the players on the ice today will be veteran goaltender Collin Delia, who is on a professional tryout contract. He’s previously played for the Blackhawks and Canucks, most recently in the 2022-23 season with Vancouver. He played in Sweden last season.
The players will be split into three groups, with Group A on the ice at 8:45, Group B at 11:30, and Group C at 12:45. Each session will be ninety minutes. The team hasn’t announced the roster for each group. All sessions are open to the public for free.
The first preseason game is at PPG Paints Arena against Buffalo on Monday.
