A third measles-linked death is being reported in Pennsylvania.
Officials say a 40-year-old woman from Jefferson County died from measles complications over the weekend. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office said no other information about the woman will be released and called her death an unfortunate reminder that measles can be a serious and potentially life-threatening disease. The Pennsylvania Department of Health said it is conducting a review of the case and will provide the public with updated information when it becomes available.
The latest statistics on the number of measles cases across the state is expected to be updated later today.
