The Armstrong School District has moved classes at the Armstrong Jr.-Sr. High School in Kittanning to remote learning today due to a threat of violence.
In a post on the district’s Facebook page, representatives with the school said that yesterday evening, a threat was reported through the district’s Safe2Say system. Law enforcement was immediately notified and are actively investigating.
As the situation is not yet resolved, the district decided to transition to remote learning for today out of an abundance of caution. It does not affect any of the other schools in the district.
