The Penguins have not announced the opening of training camp yet, but it is coming quickly, most likely next Monday or Tuesday. The team’s young prospects will be working out in Cranberry in advance of this weekend’s Prospect Challenge Tournament in Detroit. They will play Columbus on Saturday, Detroit on Sunday, and Dallas next Tuesday.
A lot of the veterans are already working out on the ice at Cranberry. The Penguins’ first exhibition game will be September 21st at home against Buffalo.
