Two IUP Alumni have made a donation to the new School of Osteopathic Medicine.
Business Administration Graduates Dennis Stover from the class of ’76 and Regina Stover of the class of ’75 continued their tradition of support for the university with the new gift. They had previously stablished three endowment funds to support students through the Title IX athletic enhancement fund in their name, the Dressel Family fund that helps students at the Eberly College of Business, and the Legacy fund in their names that provides scholarship support to full-time students who are active members of an NCAA recognized IUP athletic team and pursuing a degree offered by the Eberly College of Business.
The amount of the gift was not released, but it will create an opportunity for future medical students to work with future student-athletes through performance improvement studies; support academic and programmatic needs of the IUP Department of Athletics related to Title IX; and provide scholarships to future IUP students for generations.
The gift was part of the Impact 150 comprehensive campaign to raise $150 million for the university. Including the recent gift from the Stovers, the campaign has raised $122,847,723, which is roughly 81% of the goal.
