The win pulls the Pirates to within five games of the third and final Wild Card playoff slot in the National League. The Pirates go for their fourth straight win tonight. Bubba Chandler (6-9, 4.26 ERA) faces Giants right-handed sidewinder Landen Roupp (8-13, 4.25 ERA). It’s a 6:15 airtime, 6:40 first pitch on WCCS.
Shortstop Konnor Griffin went 0-for-4 last night in his first rehab start for Indianapolis, which lost at Toledo, 9-7.
