An Indiana man was taken into custody this morning in Indiana Borough on a drug-related charge in an incident on the borough’s East side.
Indiana Borough Police were joined by members of the Indiana County Drug Task Force and the FBI around 6:00 this morning at the home of 53-year-old Bradley John Harriett at 195 Water Street attempting to execute both an arrest and search warrant. He did not show himself to officers on scene when they arrived, and and there was no threat communicated nor did he refuse to leave. The incident came to an end at 9:20 AM when he was taken into custody.
Chief Justin Schawl said extra care was taken to make sure the community was safe as it was believed he had weapons in the house.
Chief Schawl praised the cooperation of all agencies involved.
Specifics on what was found inside the residence have not been released.
Harriett faces a single felony count of manufacture, delivery or possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture or deliver. He was arraigned in front of District Judge Anthony Sottile and placed in Indiana County Jail on $50,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is set for September 3rd.
