Coach Mike McCarthy will lead his first Steelers practice at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex today at 11 AM, after the close of camp at St. Vincent College and the move back to Pittsburgh.
McCarthy said on Monday that with the uncooperative weather picture, he would simply flip the Monday/Wednesday schedule, with a preseason game in New Jersey against the Jets coming up on Friday night. Prior to the practice, both McCarthy and assistant general manager Andy Weidl will speak to the media.
Running back Najee Harris visited the New York Giants on Monday and signed a contract with them yesterday. The Steelers’ 2021 first-round draft pick played four seasons in Pittsburgh before moving on to the Chargers, where his season ended in the third game when he tore his Achilles tendon.
