Will Taylor and Murf Gray each had four hits, Taylor blasting a three-run home run, as Altoona clobbered Akron, 12-3 on Saturday.
Matt King, Jesus Castillo, and Robert Hassell III all had two hits and an RBI and Lonnie White Jr. walked three times. Pirates outfielder Oneil Cruz had a hit in five at-bats and drove in a run in his fourth rehab appearance.
The Curve broke a 0-for-39 stretch with runners in scoring position, going 7-for-17 in those scenarios.
