An Apollo man has been indicted by a federal grand jury for casting multiple votes during the 2024 general election.
The two count indictment accuses 65-year-old Jeffrey Pope of voting twice in the last Presidential election by submitting a mail in ballot for Pennsylvania and one for Alaska. U.S. Attorney Troy Rivetti said that Pope did purchase property in Alaska in 2023. If he is found guilty, he faces a sentence of up to 10 years in prison, a fine of up to $250,000 or both.
The FBI conducted an investigation leading to the indictment.
