A new Cuban restaurant is now open in downtown Indiana.
The Indiana County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting Friday for Cuban Corner Café at 701 Philadelphia Street.
The menu features traditional Cuban dishes including vaca frita, arroz con pollo, ham croquettes and fried plantains, along with Cuban sodas and fruit shakes. The café also has a walk-up takeout window, modeled after the small Cuban cafés commonly found in Florida.
Owner GiGi Donatelli moved from Cuba to the United States as a child. She says she’s excited to share Cuban culture and flavors with Indiana.
