Nancy Kathryn (Pappal) Collesar, 89, of Indiana, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at Rose Haven Personal Care Home. Nancy was born, March 3, 1937, to the late Frank Sr. and Mary (Kostryk) Pappal.
On April 29, 1961, Nancy married James Collesar. Together they spent 64 years together before James’ passing.
Nancy is survived by her three children, Robert Collesar, Indiana; Cheryl (Dave) Downs, Glasgow; and Bonnie (Mark) McMahan, Indiana. Her three granddaughters are Rachel, Courtney and Cleo, and one great grandson, Ethan. She is also remembered by brothers Steve Pappal, Florida and John (Kay) Pappal, Indiana.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two brothers, Mike and Frank Pappal, Jr.
She was a devout Christian and instilled her faith in her children. Nancy enjoyed cooking and carrying on family traditions. She was a soft-hearted lady who always wore a smile.
A big thank you goes out to VNA Hospice nurses and all the staff at Rose Haven for Nancy’s continued care.
In accordance with Nancy’s wishes there will be no visitation. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home & Crematory where online condolences may be made by visiting rbfh.net.
