An Armstrong County man is accused of sexually abusing a teen girl.
Thirty-four-year-old Joseph Hesketh has been charged with various counts including aggravated indecent assault. Vandergrift police say a victim, who is now 24 years old, has told detectives Hesketh had a sexual relationship with her beginning in 2015, when she was 13 years old, until she moved out of state at age 20. An investigation into Hesketh was launched at the request of the Westmoreland County Children’s Bureau.
Officials there say he had raised concerns after being “persistent in contacting” the bureau with requests to provide foster care for a nine-year-old girl.
