While the measles outbreak continues in Pennsylvania, there have not been any new cases reported in Indiana County.
The state Department of Health reports that there are now 226 cases of Measles across Pennsylvania, and once again, most of the cases are in the eastern half of the state.
Lancaster county has the most with 132 cases this year. Surrounding counties have had ranging between 12 and 22 cases, and fewer in others. In our area, three cases were reported in Indiana County this year so far, and three cases are now in Jefferson County.
Health officials say 35 people have bene hospitalized for measles and 35% of the cases have been in people under the age of 18.
