Monday night, the Indiana School Board hired a new principal for the High School.
William Doody was hired as the new principal to take over for Wade McElheny, who resigned in June. Assistant superintendent Sean Gildea said that Doody brings a lot of experience with him into the position.
McElheny will help with the transition of Doody into his new role.
The board also acknowledged the first reading of board policies concerning purchases, federal fiscal compliance and integrated pest management. The board also approved the donation of four bookshelves and a countertop from Horace Mann Library to IndiKids of Indiana.
