IUP students begin arriving on campus at the end of the week. Check-in for first-year and transfer students is on Saturday and next Sunday. Returning students arrive the following weekend, with the start of classes on August 24th.
Faculty and coaches at the State System of Higher Education are entering the final year of their four-year contract. APSCUF has announced that negotiations have begun on a new coaches’ contract. The two sides met on Friday to discuss the negotiating process and will meet again on October 13th.
No announcement has been made as yet on the faculty contract negotiations.
The four-year contracts for faculty, coaches, and for OPEIU (Office of Professional Employees International Union Healthcare Pennsylvania), which represents nurses at the State System schools, expires June 30th, 2027.
