Pennsylvania Secretary of the Commonwealth Al Schmidt is asking the Trump administration to explain how it identified more than 14,500 potential noncitizens who may be registered to vote in the state.
According to an investigative report from Spotlight PA, Schmidt says the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has not shared its methodology or the list of names, raising concerns that the data could produce inaccurate results.
Homeland Security says it remains willing to work with Pennsylvania officials to verify the state’s voter rolls.
