Aultman fire department has a new fire truck.
The fire company added Tanker 274, a 2100 gallon truck to its fleet last Friday. Aultman Fire Department Treasurer Sarah Shaffer said that it replaced a truck from 1984 and has several features to make life easier, including a drop tank that works electronically.
She said the new truck was going to be beneficial not just for the Aultman area, but for countywide efforts.
The truck was ordered in 2023 and the department was able to use cash the department raised and a $190,000 loan to purchase it.
