Ceremonies were held yesterday at the Giant Eagle in Allegheny Township to present a ceremonial check to a PA Lottery jackpot winner. The Trib reports that 86-year-old Rita Franczyk won $1.5 million on a $30 scratch ticket. She said she was thinking of upgrading the quality of life for her, her daughter and the daughter’s family.
