A Rossiter man was seriously injured after a deer jumped onto his moving motorcycle in Banks Township, Indiana County.
Pennsylvania State Police said 39-year-old M. McCracken was riding a 2005 Harley-Davidson on Hillman Road around 6:13 a.m. July 20 when the deer landed on the motorcycle, causing him to lose control and be thrown from the bike. McCracken was airlifted by STAT MedEvac to Penn Highlands DuBois for treatment.
Police said he was not wearing a helmet and will be cited for operating a motorcycle without required protective headgear while riding with a motorcycle permit.
