Pennsylvania’s mail-in voting system faces an emergency Supreme Court challenge over President Trump’s executive order.
The DOJ asked justices Monday to lift a court block Pennsylvania and 22 other states won against the administration last month. Governor Shapiro joined the lawsuit, arguing the White House cannot take over state election rules. The order would create federal citizenship lists and require states to give the Postal Service approved voter lists before it sends mail ballots.
If the Court grants the emergency request, the block could be lifted and the plan could move ahead before November’s midterms.
