Indiana County’s new Municipal Emergency Services Authority has completed the 2026 Emergency Services Fee billing process and bills will be sent to residents and businesses in participating municipalities starting tomorrow.
The billing will be handled by Berkheimer Digital Tax Solutions, the Authority’s third-party billing agent. Berkheimer also handles tax billing for a number of school districts and government agencies in Indiana County.
The bill packet will include payment instructions, deadlines, and payment options. Payments may be made through the company’s app (berkapp) or their website (www.hab-inc.org).
Thirty-one of Indiana County’s thirty-eight municipalities are signed on to use the Emergency Services Authority. All households and businesses within participating towns and townships must pay. Each residential household will pay $75 annually and businesses will pay $100 to $300 annually, depending on how many people work there.
