Four more states are being linked to the cyclospora outbreak.
The Washington Post says the CDC is now connecting cases from Illinois, Kansas, Oklahoma and Pennsylvania to the nationwide outbreak caused by the cyclospora parasite. Cyclosporiasis causes nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and other symptoms, and has already been traced to scores of illnesses in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and West Virginia.
The report claims federal investigators are linking the outbreak to shredded iceberg lettuce served at Taco Bell restaurants in those states, which has been traced back to a single supplier in Mexico.
