Charges connected with a case where a Kittanning man reportedly dropped his young daughter were held for court during a preliminary hearing yesterday.
Court documents show that District Judge Anthony Sottile held charges of aggravated assault-attempts to cause severe bodily injury, aggravated assault of someone under six years of age, child endangerment, reckless endangerment and harassment for the incident on June 19th against 22-year-old Jakob Hankey. State police investigators said that Hankey gave many different reports of what happened, including tripping over his dog as he held the baby, with a second report saying the dog was not involved. An affidavit of probable cause said Hankey would say that after he dropped the girl, he picked her up, put her on the changing table and smacked them in the head with his hand.
Hankey remains free on $250,000 bail with a formal arraignment hearing is set for September 29th in front of County Judge Gina Force.
