Lonnie White Jr. is red-hot for Altoona, but even a four-hit night for the outfielder couldn’t secure a win at Akron, and that was despite the Curve holding a 4-1 lead with two outs and nobody on for the Rubberducks in the ninth inning. A walk, an RBI double, and a two-run homer tied the game for Akron, then after run-scoring hits gave the Curve a 6-4 lead in the 10th, Akron rallied again, bringing home the winning run on a bunt.
White had two singles, a double, and a home run for the Curve. Keiner Delgado also homered. Connor Oliver threw six innings for Altoona, giving up just one unearned run.
The Curve have not announced their starter for tonight’s third game of the series.
