The preliminary hearing for an Aultman man charged in connection with a police standoff earlier this month has been continued.
There’s no word yet on why the hearing for 73-year-old Harry Lloyd was delayed. He is charged with 12 felony counts and four misdemeanor counts connected with an incident in Aultman on July 8th that triggered the response of state troopers and the PSP SERT team. An affidavit of probable cause states that authorities were notified by county crisis responders and members of his family that he was trying to harm himself. A perimeter was established and during the nearly eight hour long standoff, he shot through a door of a basement bedroom after a trooper tried to talk with him. No injuries were reported.
Among the charges he faces include felony counts of attempted murder of law enforcement officers, aggravated assault and assault of a law enforcement officer.
A new date for the hearing has not been released.
