Homer City Post 493 bowed out of the Region 7 Senior Legion Tournament yesterday, committing three errors and falling to St. Michael, 6-2, at Claysburg-Kimmel High School. The Bearcats were behind 5-0 after one inning and could not battle their way back, scoring single runs in the fifth and sixth. Only two of the Saints’ runs were earned.
Four players had the four Homer City hits, including a triple by Hunter Kunkle and a double by Brayden Rado. Shane McHugh and Max Drew had the other two hits and the Bearcats also drew eight walks.
Post 493 finishes its season with a 14-13 record.
