The Parkway East bridge replacement project is running ahead of schedule.
Officials with PennDOT say the span has been moved into place as crews now focus on finishing the road surface. The bridge and the parkway could reopen as soon as the middle of next week if there are no lengthy delays due to rain, according to PennDOT.
Commercial Street is expected to reopen by August 3rd.
