Altoona lost two out of three at Reading over the weekend and moves on tonight to open a six-game visit to Akron. Kyle Robinson makes his first start in eleven days, his third overall in Double-A, after giving up just one run over six innings his last time out against Richmond.
After finishing fifth out of six Southwest Division teams in the first half of the Eastern League season, the Curve have had a lackluster start to the second half. At 8-13, they are in exactly the same position, in fifth place. They’re a game ahead of Akron, tonight’s opponent.
