The ACC is adopting a new tiebreaker policy for the league’s football title game.
The change comes after Duke got into last year’s ACC Championship game over higher-ranked Miami after being in a five-way tie for second place. The number one tiebreaker will remain the head-to-head matchup and now the Team Success Ranking from SportSource Analytics will be considered next.
The University of Pittsburgh is opening the season at home against Miami of Ohio on September 5th.
