An Indiana University of Pennsylvania alumnus has donated $25,000 to create a new scholarship for business students in honor of his late father.
Daniel Simoni, a 1994 IUP accounting graduate and managing partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers, established the Wayne Norman Simoni Scholarship for full-time students in IUP’s Eberly College of Business. Simoni says he was a first-generation college student from a working-class family, and credits IUP with giving him opportunities that helped shape his career. He says the scholarship is a way to give future students the same chance he received while honoring his father’s legacy of hard work, service, and dedication to family.
The gift is part of IUP’s Impact 150 fundraising campaign, which has raised more than $114 million toward its $150 million goal.
