INDIANA BASEBALL TEAM TO BE HONORED AT THIRD THURSDAY EVENT TONIGHT

The two-time PIAA Champion Indiana Varsity Baseball Team will be honored tonight during Downtown Indiana’s Third Thursday event.

Downtown Indiana’s Sam Kenly said that they plan on having a ceremony to pay tribute to the team around 5:30 at IRMC Park.  On June 12th, the team was able to hold off a surge from Holy Ghost Prep to win 6-5.  With the win, Indiana became the fifth program in PIAA history to win back-to-back championships.

The monthly event this time will feature the band “Count Me In”.  Festivities begin at 5:00.

The long-awaited bike-pedestrian bridge across Route 22 is now open! What do you think?

I love it! It will help bring more economic activity to Indiana County!
I love it! It's much needed for the safety of folks to link the trails and access both sides of that busy highway.
I love it for both of the reasons listed above (as long as they maintain it.)
It's not going to be the economic boon they're saying it will be.
Not enough people will use it to have an effect on safety.
It will not be maintained and will fall into disuse rather quickly.
