A motions hearing is scheduled today for a man accused of robbery earlier this year.
Court documents show that 45-year-old Jamie Swanger of Indiana is charged with burglary, criminal trespass and other crimes related to a break-in on April 17th.
Police were sent out to Exotic Cigar on Philadelphia Street in Indiana Borough at 4:20 that morning when witnesses reported gunshots fired into the front door. Investigators say Swanger reportedly crawled through the shattered glass, took several items and fled on foot. They found him a few blocks away with injuries consistent with broken glass and he was found with items reportedly taken from the store. No one was in the store at the time and no injuries were reported. A handgun was recovered at the scene.
His hearing today concerns a motion for leave to employ a psychiatrist.
Also due in court today is 38-year-old Christopher Brady for a case from August 10th at Rose Haven Personal Care Home, where he was on the property 2 and a half hours before the start of his shift. He reportedly hid from troopers on the third floor in an elevator shaft.
