A Pittsburgh Penguins prospect will head to the AHL.
Twenty-one-year-old defenseman Maleek McGowan has signed a deal with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Before this, he spent portions of four seasons playing in the Ontario Hockey League. Penguins Assistant GM Amanda Kessel says the team has been keeping an eye on McGowan for the last couple of years due in large part to his physicality on the ice
